The Toronto Eaton Centre is North America’s busiest shopping mall. It has more that 200 shops and eateries. Even if you were not there for shopping or eating, the mall is a great indoor space to hang-out. If you find yourself needing to walk between Dundas St and Queen St, it feels much easer cover that distance though the mall.
The Eaton Centre is within walkable distance to many of Downtown Toronto’s important landmarks such as the Yonge-Dundas Square, Nathan Philips Square, The Toronto Metropolitan University, Hockey Hall of Fame and Union Station.
Downtown Toronto has many hotels with all sorts of facilities and budgets. In this article, we list and discuss only those hotels near the Toronto Eaton Centre with a swimming pool. Some of these hotels have a whirlpool jacuzzi next to the pool, however, none have an in-room jacuzzi.

Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre
The Marriott Downtown CF Fairview Toronto stands adjacent to the Eaton Centre. While the mall and the hotel look attached, there is no weather-free entrance. Instead, you will need to exit the hotel at Trinity Square and then make a 60 second dash around the Church of the Holy Trinity to the mall entrance.
The hotel has 461 rooms across 18 floors. You can choose if you prefer the quiet and serene view of Trinity Square or the busy and bustling Nathan Philips Square. Room configurations include either 1 King bed or 2 Double Beds.
The suites feature a private bedroom and a separate living area. The come in three sizes form 700 sq-ft upto 1800 sq-ft and depending on the available space, may include additional features such as a walk-in closet or an additional bathroom.
Some guest rooms and the Presidential suites have a balcony or a walk-out terrace, complete with with patio furniture. However, these rooms are limited and booked quickly.
All rooms come with luxurious bedding, a large work desk and a spacious seating area. In-room amenities include a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge and a coffee-maker. Internet is available for and additional fee of $11 for 24 hours.
Guests have complimentary access to the hotel’s indoor pool and the fitness centre, which is equipped with various free weights, cardio machines and weight machines.

The Chelsea Hotel Toronto is located on 33 Gerrard St West at the intersection of Yonge St. It is a 5 minute walk to the Eaton Centre. The College Park subway station is a 4 minute walk.
The Chelsea Hotel Toronto keeps it very simple with their room offerings. They have three types based on the size: Chelsea rooms with an area of 275 sq-ft, the Classic with a 315 sq-ft area and the Deluxe with 325 sq-ft. Room configurations include the traditional 1 King bed and 2 Queen beds.
The suite types offered are 1 Bedroom Suites and suites with kitchenette. The suites feature private bedrooms and separate living areas. The kitchenettes are fully equipped with a stove-top, fridge and microwave.
The Chelsea Hotel Toronto has 1590 rooms across 27 floors. Every room and suite has free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a Coffee/Tea maker.
Except for the chelsea rooms, all rooms and suites have a balcony. However, Smoking is not permitted on the balconies.
If you are looking for breakfast in the morning, there are three eateries at the Chelsea Toronto Hotel.
The Market Garden is a fast casual restaurant where you will be able to pick most of your food from a buffet. Counter-service is provided where foods such as cakes and ice-cream need to be cut or scooped to the right portions. You will also find grab & go items such as bottled water, juices, chips, chocolate bars and snacks.
After you have paid for your food, you could head out to the patio and have your meal.
T|bar is a contemporary dining lounge. With a cosy, comforting vibe, it is also a great place for a late-night cocktail. The menu consists of dishes from North America, India, China and Italy. You have the option to ask the chef to make in vegetarian, gluten free or lactose free.
If you are just looking for a caffiene kick and satisfy your sweet-tooth, check out Expresso, a coffee & wine bar. Along with cappuccinos and chai, you can get Irish Coffee (Jameson Irish Whiskey) and Grand Marinier Coffee. With your coffee, you will find a selection of cakes cookies and gelato.
The Chelsea Hotel Toronto is very family friendly. It has a Family Fun Zone with games and activities for children. There is an old-school arcade with games, foosball and pool-table for teens and adults. Shangri-La Toronto
Shangri-La Toronto is located on 188 University Ave, where the Financial District ends and the Entertainment District begins. It is a 10 minute walk form Eaton Centre and an 8 minute walk from Union Station. It stands halfway between St. Andrew and Osgoode subway stations.
The Shangri-La Toronto hotel occupies the first 17 floors of the 66 storey tower. There are 202 luxuriously decorated rooms that are inspired by traditional Asian designs and hospitality.
The rooms come two configurations of either a one king bed, a two queen bed. The rooms are quite spacious, with the smallest, Deluxe staring at 490 sq-ft, Executive (520 sq-ft), Premier (550 sq-ft) and a One Bedroom Suite.
Each room comes with free wi-fi, a flat-screen TV, a Nespresso Machine, and a mini-bar of snacks and drinks.
The lights, the curtains and the room temperature are controlled via an iPad. You can also use it to order room-service, book a valet or simply turn on the radio.
The bathrooms are stocked with toiletries by L’Occitane and amenities such as a hair-dryer, and slippers.
You can further elevate you luxury experience at the Shangri-La Toronto by choosing one of the Owner’s Suite, the Garden Suite or the Shangri-La Suite. With floor areas of up-to 2200 sq-ft, these apartments are opulently furnished and feature a walk-out terrace. The bathrooms are lavish and stocked with spa products by Bathorium. However, these suites can only be booked if you have a special code or by calling them directly.

Guests who like to work-out in the privacy of their room, however, will be pleased to find a lulu-lemon yoga mat in their room.
If you are looking to recharge and rejuvenate, check out the The Miraj Hammam and Spa on the fifth floor. It offers immersive bath experiences inspired by medieval Middle Eastern and Oriental treatments. The Lobby Lounge is open for lunch and dinner. It offers a high-end, chinese-american fusion menu. Afternoon tea is served Thursday to Sunday only with a reservation. The Tea menu consists of large selection of English, Chinese ond Indian blends along with cakes, puddings that are unmistakably Asian inspired.
The Shangri-La Toronto is also a premier meeting, weddings and celebration space. The largest room can hold around 360 guests during a reception. They also offer wedding packages that begin with the reception and food.
You can then addon a bridal/honeymoon suite and a spa retreat which may qualify you for an anniversary stay the following year.
There is a 40 seat private screening room For movie creators and buffs or for multimedia heavy presentations.

DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Downtown
DoubleTree Hotel Toronto Downtown is located an 108 Chestnut St. near Dundas St. It is a 2 minute walk form the Nathan Phillips Square and a 5 minute walk to the Eaton Centre and Dundas Subway Station. St Patrick Station is a 3 minute walk on University Ave.
DoubleTree Hotel Toronto Downtown has 490 rooms and suites across 21 floors. Room configurations include 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed and 2 Double beds.Every room comes with free Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV and a Coffee-maker.
The suites have living rooms that are separated form the bedrooms. Some suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, cookware and tableware.
There are two restaurants on site. The Hemispheres Restaurant and Bistro is open 24 hours a day. It has a great breakfast menu, especially if you looking to fill up at the start of your day. The lunch and dinner menu, as the name of the restaurant suggests, has many dishes form the Amercias and Asia.
On the second floor, there is a chinese restaurant called Lai Wah Heen, which acutally means a “Luxurious meeting place”. It has mixed reviews on Tripadvisor regarding the food and the decor. The menu is hute, consisting of items such as foie-gras, stir-fried wagyu beef and Peking duck. They have a separate Dim Sum menu that has been highly rated by publications in the past, and continues to do so on social media.
Guests have complimentary access to the modestly equipped fitness centre which also has a sauna and a steam-room. There is an indoor swimming pool, albeit small, is great for doing laps.

Hilton Toronto
Hilton Toronto is located at 145 Richmond St West at the corner of University Ave. It is a 7 minute walk to the Eaton Centre. Osgoode Subway Station is only less than a minute away.
If you are bringing your car, then parking here costs $70 per night.
The hotel has 600 rooms and suites across 32 floors. It offers various room configurations such as a single king bed, or 2 Queen Beds or 2 double beds. The suites feature private bedrooms and a separate living area. They are very spacious ranging from 370 sq-ft to 1200 sq-ft is size.

The St Regis Toronto
St Regis is a Marriott luxury brand. The Toronto location is at 325 Bay St. at the intersection of Adelaide St. If you don’t recognize this address, this was, until 2017, the Trump Tower Toronto.
It is a 5 minute walk to the Eaton Centre and the Queen subway station. Union Station is a 7 minute walk along Bay St.
The St Regis, Toronto occupies 31 floors of this 58 storey skyscraper. It has 258 luxuriously decorated rooms and suites.
Every room comes with free wi-fi and high-speed internet, a mini-fridge, a coffee-maker and instant hot water. The suites have a flat-screen TV in the living area as well as in the bedroom.
If you are looking for something to eat, there are two restaurants: Louix Louis Grand Bar and Restaurant and Astor Lounge.
Louix Louis is ornately decorated with a French-American vibe and a menu to match. The two storey bar display is the centerpiece that defines the “Grand Bar”.

Sheraton Centre Toronto
Sheraton Centre Toronto is located and 123 Queen St West at the intersection of York St, between Bay St and University Ave. It is a 5 minute walk to Queen subway station, a 2 minute walk to Osgoode subway station and a 10 minute walk to the Union Station along York St.
The Eaton Centre is a 4 minute walk along Queen St.
The 43 floor Sheraton Centre Toronto has 1372 rooms and suites. It has a large outdoor swimming pool at the back which is heated when the weather gets crisp. Other recreation facilities include a fitness centre, and a small garden with a water-feature.
You get to chose you view when booking rooms at the Sheraton Centre Toronto. If you prefer to stay on the lower floors, then you may choose rooms with a pool view or the garden view. However, from the upper floors, you get to enjoy an unobstructed view of the Nathan Philips Square. The “City View” rooms look to the financial district and the CN Tower in the south.

Holiday Inn, Toronto Downtown centre is located on 30 Carlton St, about 150 meters east of Yonge St. The College Subway Station is only a 2 minute walk from here. Eaton Centre is just 1 subway stop south on Dundas St, or if you prefer to walk, about 12 minutes from here.
The 506 Streetcar passes through roughly every 8 minutes and takes you form High Park in the west to Main Street subway station in the east, a 15 km route.
Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre has 513 rooms and suites across 23 floors. Room configurations include 1 king bed or two double beds. Suites have a private bedroom in addition to a kitchenette.

The Ivy at Verity is located an 111 Queen St East between Church St and Jarvis St. It only has 4 rooms but they are, in every aspect, elegant and sophisticated. They are furnished with a King-size bed and hand-crafted Italian linens. The bathrooms have a deep soaking tub and a selection of organic bath salts and bath products.
