There are several car-hire services or airport-transfer services and out-of-town transportation available form all points in Ontario to Toronto Pearson Airport such as:

If you own a car, then you need see if taking an airport-transfer service justifies the costs. Also, you need to weigh the factors surrounding a long drive home or to the airport.

Firstly, assuming a return trip to the airport by an airport-transfer service costs you $300. You enjoy a comfortable, quiet ride and you are not very exhausted because you were able to catch a wink on the way.

Now, if instead, you drove your car to the airport, and assuming that you pay $15 a night somewhere for extended-parking, then you’ll need your trip to be around 20 days to match the costs of an airport-transfer.

Here’s the kicker: As of writing, a 20 day parking at with a valet service costs $200 at Park’N Fly. You get a free shuttle to the airport, your car remains in good hands and if its an electric: they will keep it charged for you. For an additional $100 you can have it washed, cleaned and detailed inside-out when you return.

If you have a long drive home form the airport, sometimes staying the night over at a hotel near the airport is a good idea. You may become a hazard on the road if you are already fatigued and your body will thank you for the rest and recharge the next morning.

Hotels around Toronto Airport with extended parking

Before you get excited about the rates and the advantages of Park’N Fly, you should decide on where you need to spend your night before/after your flight.

During busy travel season, it may be difficult for find a room at a hotel of your choice and especially within your budget. So, you must expand your choices and be flexible when your trip becomes necessary.

One disadvantage of Park’N fly, is that they don’t have covered parking. So, if indoor parking is important to you, there are some hotels in the list below that do have it.

All the hotels that are listed below and discussed in this section provide a free shuttle to the airport. So you don’t need to worry about getting a taxi when you leave your car behind.

Please note some sleep-fly-park packages need to be booked by calling the hotel directly. Others will ask you to book your room and then arrange for extended parking with the front-desk after you arrive. Usually its only a process of leaving a tag in your car.

Sheraton Gateway Hotel stands just outside the doors of Terminal 3 of the Toronto Pearson Airport. It is the most recognizable landmark for any one arriving at Terminal 3. The Sheraton Gateway Toronto Hotel is connected to the LINK train that shuttles passengers for free between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. So, if you have a flight to catch at Terminal 1, just follow the signs for “Terminal Link” and take the train to Terminal 1.

You must book the shuttle in advance and call when you are ready to be picked up at the airport. The shuttle stops at the arrivals are at column C37 in Terminal 3 and column S5 in Terminal 1.

Alt Hotel Toronto Airport

Alt Hotel, part of the Germain Hotels Group is located on 6080 Viscount Rd, just west of Hwy 409. It one of two hotels that are directly connected to the LINK train that shuttles passengers for free to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. The Sheraton Gateway Hotel is connected to the LINK station at Terminal 3.

To get to the Alt Hotel from the airport, take the LINK train to Viscount Station (the last stop). Get down to the ground level and exit at the main entrance (don’t take the walkway to the parking garage). The Alt Hotel is just outside by a 1 minute walk.

The Alt Hotel has 153 rooms across 14 floors. It offers only a single bed and a two bed room configurations. The rooms are furnished with a desk and chair, a coffee-maker, free wi-fi and a flat-screen TV. There is no fridge or microwave.

The bathrooms are clean and stocked with toiletries, hair-dryer and clean towels.

Breakfast is served at the Altceteria Cafe, where you can choose form a menu of Breakfast platter, wraps, sandwiches, oatmeal and fruit-bowl.

The hotel is a 10 minute drive form the Toronto Pearson Airport. A complimentary airport shuttle is provided upon request between 5:00 AM and Midnight.

Parking here costs $100 per week or $15 per day. The number of parking-spaces is also quite limited.

The Best Western Plus Toronto Airport hotel has 180 rooms and suites across three floors. Room configurations include 1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed and 2 Queen Beds.
Every room comes furnished with a work desk and chair, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a microwave, a mini-fridge and a coffee-maker.

Accessible rooms are available for mobility, hearing or sight impaired guests. Their bathrooms feature a roll-in shower amongst other things such as audible and visual alarms.

The suites are an impressive 495 sq ft in size. With all that space, the suites include a Jacuzzi in room. Remarkably, they have a heart-shaped tub, which is not very commonly found in these parts. It’s not red though.

If you don’t have a jacuzzi tub in your room, there is a whirlpool tub in the hotel that is free to use for all guests.

A complimentary, grab-and-go breakfast is served in the lobby every morning.. You will find a breakfast bar laid down with eggs, breakfast meats, fruits, jams, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal and coffee.
