Snow !
Hamilton was greeted by a snow storm Saturday night with its second snowfall of the season. The storm was part of a system that hit Buffalo, Southern Ontario and Montreal with freezing rain and around 10 centimeters of snow. But some forecasters are expecting 30 centimeters of more snow today ! Hamilton received a moderate snowfall, not in storm conditions though, but the roads were bad !
Snow from the first snowfall last Saturday had already melted but this snow is here to stay. Winter has oficially arrived !
In excitement, I took a few pictures to share with you. The pictures were taken from my apartment and the houses you see are neighbours from across the street.
The following two pictures were taken at around 11 last night.

The pictures are a bit fuzzy because of falling snow and poor lighting.

The two pictures below were taken at around 8 this morning.

Because the trees have shed leaves, you can see all the way into neighbours’ backyards !

I took a few pictures of my neighbourhood last summer but I seem to have lost them ! They would have been perfect for comparison.
The ploughs have already cleared the snow from the road and sprinkled salt on the sidewalk. The neighbours are out there clearing their drive-ways and brushing snow off their cars.

And kids are out playing in the snow.

Thats right Matt ! I think it was the same storm which picked more moisture from the lakes and dumped snow up north !
Those cars in the 2nd to last pic are going to be a pain to move
Well, this post was written around 8 days ago.
The pictures do seem deceptive now that I look at it, but it’s not all that hard if you shovel the right way, as you can see from the last picture.
