Answers to how one can be so treacherous

Three weeks ago, I poured out my thoughts against a twit inciting hatred and terrorism over the Internet. He is a student at the University of Toronto in Mississauga and was actually interviewed by the National Post. He is currently under investigation by the RCMP and CSIS.

Last weekend, I learnt of Salman Hossain’s background and family. And what I learnt shed a lot of light on why he would behave this way.

First of all, this guy is a complete phony. He has no links to any Al-Qaeda or Taliban, in-fact, he has no real friends. I don’t think he can even afford a lawyer ! And what kind of a lawyer would represent a twit like him ? He doesn’t earn money, he hates hard work and is mooching off his parents !

As a child, he was uncontrollable and during his teen years he openly declared his hatred for his mom and dad . Today, he continues to be rude to them and shouts and swears at them to a point that would enrage anybody. His parents are also at fault for not correcting him when the time was right.

They too never take part in their community and hardly a few know who they really are or what they really do. When asked about what their son is actually studying, one would get varied answers from Computer Engineering to Political Science. Is he actually a student or does he just hangs around on campus ?

With such parents, what can you expect from him regarding his religious views ? He doesn’t know anything about his religion. Nobody at the mosque knows him so does he pray at home ?

In light of the above, this twit is harmless but needs to be taught a serious lesson. He’s brought misery to his family through his senseless actions and has angered a lot of people, to whom he owes an apology.

The community youth talk about paying him a visit and beating him up. But I think that long time behind bars should do him better.

Sadly, it exactly this type of individual who eventually does something like walk into a college lecture hall with weapons and open fire on innocent individuals. He definitely was not raised with the correct sense of right and wrong or he wouldn’t do what he’s doing. Or even more sad, he is a totally harmless idiot looking for a little attention, which he’s gotten in spades.

I have to agree with Lee. While this moron has caused unnecessary grief to many, it seems like he is best left ignored.

Show me an idiot and I will also show you idiot parents. It’s not always the case but I would argue it applies to the vast majority of twits out there.

The problem is this stuff sells newspapers and it’s the news people who give these turkeys the limelight that they thrive on. I wrote a post a long time ago about the beheadings in Iraq.

http://advocare.blogspot.com/2004/09/how-media-helps-terrorism.html

You will recall they were being widely circulated on the net at the time.

I argued that if we just ignored them and not give the clowns a publishing platform they will cease to perform.

That post was widely circulated throughout the net and made it to the news. Not long thereafter there were a lot less news stories and less beheadings. It appears that it worked.

The same applies here. The news should STOP making celebrities out of these twits. STOP giving them a podium to preach from.

I’ll give you a simple answer as to why some people do the rotten things that they do…. they crave the attention.
